Is something wrong with my eyes?

I would never put a bumper sticker on my car, but if I did . . . .

Your Bumper Sticker Should Be

If you can read this, I can stop suddenly and sue you

I know that Richmond meant to tag me, so I accepted on her behalf!

World Refugee Day

Today is World Refugee Day. Let's take the time to remember those who are in dire need of help, and see what we can do help them.

Poor sense of humor!

Too many risks

Wouldn't this guy have saved time and embarrassment by just participating in HNT?

I mean, come on . . .

If this is you, post somewhere for others to see because I know its me!

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while
they
carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and
didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright
colored
lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and
when
we
rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took
hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special
treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO
ONE actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soda pop with
sugar
in it,but we weren't overweight because

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were
back
when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride
down

the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into
the
bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at
all,
no
99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no
cell
phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat
rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were
no
lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in
us
forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays,
made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told
it
would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or
rang
the bell, or just yelled for them!

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who
didn't
had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard
of.
They
actually sided with the law!

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem
solvers
and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new
ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO
DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them! CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow
up
as
kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our
own
good.

and while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know
how
brave their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't
it?!

Like cool pics? Check out this website!

I have always adored 3-D images that are drawn by hand. What the human mind can conceive and conjure up is sometime so amazing that words can not begin to describe them.

Uh, is this news?

Took a break

Not by choice. Computer has been on the fritz! At any rate, I celebrated 7 years of marriage yesterday with a renewed sense of hope, and a rebirth of passion. Still an infant, but life is there. So raise your glasses to the screen.

Cheers!

Meme from Richmond

1. Have you ever been searched by the cops?
Uh, I'm a black man. What do you think?

2. Do you close your eyes on roller coaster?
Never! But I do stare at my shoes instead of looking around!

3. When's the last time you've been sledding?

Never been. Doesn't snow often in these parts.

4. Would you rather sleep with someone else, or alone?
It doesn't make much of a difference, but I give the edge to having someone else.

5. Do you believe in ghosts?
Absolutely.

6. Do you consider yourself creative?
Either that or I'm just plain weird

7. Do you think O.J. killed his wife?
I didn't watch enough of the trial to feel comfortable agreeing that he didn't do it.

8. Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie?
Angelina Jolie all the way! I don't think Aniston is cute at all. She's overrated.

9. Can you honestly say you know ANYTHING about politics?
Yes. Enough to be both hopeful and disgusted by the whole thing.

10. Do you know how to play poker?
Oh yes. Deal me in!

11. Have you ever been awake for 48 hours straight?
Fatherhood in my neck of the woods kept me up for 48 hours!

12. What's your favorite commercial?
The pop-locking worm is my fav. Also, the Honda commercial with the Hispanic crab who says "I pinch."

13. Who was your first love?
First love? Uh-oh. Her name is Sherlyn Gloria-Marie Henderson. Boy did I screw that one up!

14. If you're driving in the middle of the night, and no one is around you, do you run a red light?
No. I usually wait.

15. Do you have a secret that no one knows but you?
I plead the fifth for fear of self incrimination.

16. Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees?
Blech! I hate baseball! I'd rather watch golf.

17. Have you ever been Ice Skating?
Nope, but we do have rinks in H-Town.

18. How often do you remember your dreams?
Occasionally. They are usually an artists rendition of what happened during the day. I wish I could write well enough to illustrate what I see in my dreams. Got to be Oscar stuff.

19. What's the one thing on your mind?
Wondering how I can love others better, especially when I am not getting reciprocity.

20. Do you always wear your seat belt?
Religiously!

21. What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I had a great singing voice. I'd have a record right now!

22. Do you like Sushi?
For those who are not used to my risque side, do not read any further: There is only one thing that I like to eat raw. :-P

23. What do you wear to bed?
Varies. Sometimes nada.

24. Do you truly hate anyone?
No, but I hate some things that people do.

25. If you could sleep with one famous person, who would it be?
Aria Giovanni. A porn star. Might as well be someone with the experience to make it worth my while as opposed to someone who may disappoint.

26. Do you know anyone in jail?
Yes. I can name over 10 people. :(

27. What food do you find disgusting?
Chitterlings, liver, and anything uncooked.

28. Have you ever made fun of your friends behind their back?
I've not said anything behind my friend's back that I haven't said in front of them.

29. Have you ever been punched in the face?
My daughter likes to "grab" my face, but does so with a slap.

30. Do you believe in angels and demons?

Yep.

How inspirational!!!

From an email again!

Damn Good Point
*****

I recently picked a new primary care physician. After
two visits and exhaustive lab test, he said I was
doing "fairly well" for my age.

A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't
resist asking him, "Do you think I'll live to be 80?"

He asked, "well, do you smoke tobacco or drink beer or
wine?" "Oh no", I replied. "I've never done either."

Then he asked, "Do you eat rib-eye steaks and
barbecued ribs?" I said, "No, I heard that all red
meat is very unhealthy."

"Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing
golf / sailing / ballooning / motorcycling / rock
climbing?" "No I don't", I said.

He said, "Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or sexually
fool around?"
"No", I said. "I have never done any of those things."

He looked at me and said, "Then why do you give a shit if
you live to be 80?"
