Holy Crap, Batman

What if Robin really said that? Could you imagine little kids running around saying "Holy Crap"? What an outrage! Parents everywhere would be sick to their stomachs hearing little Johnny saying such things. But this was during the purist 60's when Elvis shaking his pelvis and the Beatles' simply wanting to hold your hand was considered to be sexually explicit. Today, even Homer and Marge do more than hold hands. Where have our values gone? If you do a little research, they haven't changed. What has changed are the mediums used to tell our deepest, darkest secrets. While we flaunt our sexuality publicly, we also talk openly about homosexuality, pedophilia, beasteality, and adultery. I can see Barbara Walters clasping her hands to her face emulating Macaley Calkin in Home Alone seeing those words. But people have been participating in those things since the beginning of time. Sodom and Gomorrah is considered to be the birthplace of homosexuality. Or was it? It was probably the first time it was acknowledged in the bible, but hardly the birthplace. Pedophilia? Hah! Marrying a younger female has hardly been an issue for many. In Canada(according to my uncle who has visited many times), the legal age is only 16 years old. In Mexico(according to some friends), there is no exact legal age. Some girls get married as young as 12 to men as old as 25. By now, you're wondering where in the heck I am going with this. I'm going no place in particular, but am thinking about a deeper debate: Objective truth vs subjective truth. If you're not familiar with those terms, perhaps you can post on another topic.
