Blame it on the rain

Everyone that I know can sing this song as well as Milli Vanilli although some may not remember this group. There is a lyric in this song that says, "Whatever you do, don't put the blame on you." How convenient. So who do we blame for their deception? They blamed their record execs, et al. Before you blow smoke and click out of this thread, its actually not about Milli Vanilli, or the weather, or even about lip synching (remember the tv contest?). Its about introspection. Introspection, according to the American Heritage Dictionary, is "contemplation of one's own thoughts, feelings, and sensations; self examination." Most people will tell you that they spend time examining their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, but when it comes to social interaction, the rain, does in fact, carry a heavy burden of blame. Have you ever blamed the rain, only to discover later that the raindrops came from your own head much to your chagrin? Can you handle examining yourself and acknowledging your own skeletons? We all have them, but when we allow those skeletons to exist unacknowledged, we deny our true selves, and stunt our own growth.
