Sinking Fast!

Have you ever wondered if quicksand is real? If you have, chances are that you slept through your science class or your teacher was not very good because quicksand has always been a scientific discussion, even for the jocks who had people to take their tests for them. At any rate, click on the following link to learn something new!

Rita's gone, and Mike is back!

Not MJ. I would hope that he stays retired this time around. Before I talk about Mike, I have a few comments for Rita. She steered clear of Houston, which was good for Houston, but not good for southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they recover from this storm. Houston is not big enough for two Rita's, so I'm glad that Marga stayed, and the other one left! Have you figured out which Michael that I am speaking of yet? Michael Brown! The former director of FEMA! He blames Mayor Nagin and Gov. Blanco for the Katrina disaster! Hello! Katrina destroyed areas in three states! That means that more than one state and one city was destroyed! My teacher used to tell me that I was a child playing grown up games, and in the game of politics, Michael Brown is an infant. What a cake! And he says that he doesn't mind being the scapegoat! He's not the scapegoat, he's the black sheep! Some people are really stuck on stupid.

Hurricane Rita

The only Rita's I like are Marga. What's next? Perhaps it time to move. Isn't there a fine actress whose name is Rita?

Create a band

I saw this on one of my favorite websites: http://www.beliefnet.com/index.html?rnd=825

I realize that there are different genres of music, and some musicians perform exceptionally well in those styles. Here is my selection for an awesome band. Do not limit yourself to only live or dead musicians.

1st Trumpet- Louis Armstrong
2nd Trumpet - Miles Davis
Saxophone - Charlie Parker
Saxophone - John Coltrane
Guitar - Django Reinhardt
Bass - Charlie Mingus
Piano - Art Tatum
Drums - Tony Williams

Hurricane Katrina

For those of you who don't know, New Orleans is my original hometown. Watching the devastation left by Katrina is really disheartening. Most of my relatives have already lost everything. How do I know? I am able to recognize some areas through a local internet broadcast. Here is the link: http://www.wwltv.com/perl/common/video/wmPlayer.pl?title=beloint_wfaa&props=livenoad

I thank God that all of my family is accounted for. Some people are not able to say the same thing. One of my co-workers is still trying to locate his mother. Please keep the city of New Orleans in your prayers and thoughts. If you are able, contribute to the relief fund as New Orleans may never be the same again. Of course it may be to early to say such a thing, but it seems more realistic. The city doesn't have and has never had any plans to raise its current level which is below sea level. God help us.
